Dr.  Bijoy P Barua is a Professor with vast experiences in the field of  Development Economics, and Education, Indigenous knowledge and Participatory Action Research in Africa and Asia.  He has worked with the International Cooperation of Swiss Redcross, Swiss Disaster Relief, and Swiss Development Cooperation for many years both in Bangladesh and abroad.   He has published widely across disciplines in Sociology of Education and was a practitioner in Development Arena.  He studied in the University of Chittagong and in the University of Toronto, Canada.  He is an advisor of the Indian Association of Journal and Communication, New Delhi, India, and an Advisor of the National College of Kathmandu University, Nepal;
